About Me

I am a personal trainer by day, and a romance author by… well, whenever I have time to write.

I’ve worked in the fitness industry for about 15 years now. I work with people one on one, in groups, in classes and online. Right now, I’m the training director in a wonderful gym in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. I love that my job is all about helping people improve their health and wellness. My greatest success stories don’t revolve around helping people lose 100 lbs (although I’ve done that) or training for a bodybuilding show (I’ve done that, too), but in helping an elderly client be able to walk to her mailbox and back without falling, or helping a man with Parkinson’s improve his balance and mobility, or helping someone be able to get up and down from the floor. Functional fitness is my forte.

Part of my job as a trainer is also encouraging my clients to lead a more balanced life outside of the gym. Mental fitness is just as important, if not more so, than physical fitness.
